James an experienced attorney and deep tech entrepreneur. He is an counsel at Warshaw Burstein LLP and the practice chair of its Emerging Technologies Law Group, a mid-market New York City law firm where he specializes in corporate and business law across a portfolio of technology companies and inter-related litigation matters including civil, business, real estate, IP, and administrative law.

He is also a prolific author, having written and published two books on business entrepreneurship guidance, and numerous articles in publications including ABC, CBS, NBS, Business Insider, and more. He is also a frequent lecturer across the country, acclaimed for his presentations on emerging technology trends, regulatory policy, and strategic business guidance.

He is also an avid composer, writing and performing both classical music and contemporary, his indie-pop project, Harvest Runes, was recently picked up as a new artist for NYC Indie label Sungate Records for the release of a newly remastered three-album back catalog and a newly commissioned fourth album set to release Spring 2025. His classical music portfolio includes ten professionally written and recorded modern chamber music pieces, with the latest composition, String Quartet No. 2, consisting of three movements, having been written and recorded in 2024 and set to be released on all major streaming platforms.

He is also an inventor, futurist, cofounder of numerous business across the emerging technologies market including commercial space, robotics, 3D printing, AAM, AI, Blockchain and more.

 

He has also been a Board Member of the United Nations Association Southern District of New York Division for over 10 years, and was recently elected as a Board Director of the Nationals Space Society. He is also the Chairperson of the US AI Council, a recently-formed non-profit organization in partnership with the Summit of the Future which is creating a tiered ranking certification framework to establish industry-wide best practices in AI and Blockchain technology.
