Key Accomplishments:

Developed a comprehensive capitalization strategy and raised $2M+ on a popular retail investment website.
Contributed to the strategic development of a commercial space company for capitalization through Air-Force AFWerx.
Led the strategic development initiative for a prestigious non-profit’s business development plan, which increased their membership 10x.
Negotiated the capital structure and asset purchase deal for the delivery of the world’s largest concrete construction 3D printer from Italy to the United States for an architectural firm in New York.

SACCO FILLAS, LLP – Astoria, NY 2018 – Present

Associate, Complex Commercial Litigation Department

Represent plaintiffs and defendants in complex, multi-million-dollar corporate transactional and NY Supreme commercial litigation matters.

Key Accomplishments:

Secured a $2.5M arbitration award in a dispute regarding a New York diamond dealer’s breach of business sale contract.
Defended a commercial lease tenant in a landlord non-payment action, which resulted in a reduction of $1.2M+ of legal exposure.
Represented a tax practice in a dispute over an AAA business sale, which resulted in the reduction of $1M+ of legal exposure.
Defended a multi-million-dollar construction company in litigation defense in multiple lawsuits regarding sub-contractor breach of contract and mechanics lien matters, which resulted in a dismissal.
Resolved premier NYC restaurant partnership dispute on the verge of litigation; memorialized the agreement and relationship in writing and successfully negotiated a stock purchase agreement.
Represented construction firm in adversarial mechanics lien litigation; assisted with dismissing two liens against client.
Settled commercial tenant insurance policy lawsuit relating to premises liability issues in the post-pleadings and post-discovery stage; negotiated a premium settlement for client above expectations and resolved five years of ongoing litigation.
Negotiated the settlement of an insurance claim related to alleged employee negligence.
Resolved construction litigation related to subcontractor schedule and fixture characterization and damages liability; resolved pre-trial following depositions exposing subcontractor weaknesses.

Key Accomplishments:

Successfully represented a luxury upscale retail cosmetics store through referred law firm partnership for renegotiating a multi-year lease and settlement of rental arrears.
Effectively represented client though referred law firm partnership for the purchase and sale of a commercial New York restaurant; undertook review of terms, closing statements, and attended closing.
